The concept of meditation first began with Adam and Eve who originally lovingly responded to God's great love  as they walked with Him in paradise. The earliest historical reference to the term "meditate," dates back to circa 2020 BC, as recorded in the 24th chapter of the book of Genesis. In this ancient account, Isaac, the son of Abraham, goes out to a field to meditate, while his guardian angel is sent from God to help his way prosper.
