Every single thing in the Universe was created by God, and has it's place.
God's love flows through, sustains,  and holds together His whole order of existence.

GOD SITS AT THE TOP OF CREATION​

God has three parts:
God the Father, and God the Son;
and the love they share between them: the Holy Spirit; *
these three are one.

ANGELS

​Underneath God, the Holy Trinity, are His holy angels.
The word angel derives from the Greek word which means messenger.
Fathers of the Church record nine choirs of angels.

God assigns a Guardian Angel to each one of us.  Our Guardian Angel was given to us by God to help us grow in power by knowing that God loves us more than anybody else, including ourselves;  and by loving God back with all of our heart, mind and soul. Other angels are used by God to help us too. We can call upon  our Guardian Angel and other angels to help throughout our day. 

HUMAN BEINGS

Next  in God's great  order of existence are human beings.  God made  people  to be the most special of all of his creation.  God creates each of us in his image and likeness; in Latin we call this Imago Dei.  He bestows upon us extraordinary privileges which are given only to us. This  amazing  blessing   is  to love him, share our life with him and learn about him as much  as we can in this world, so that we can join him someday in the most wonderful place that exists: Heaven.  Some of the ways we can learn about God are through prayer, frequenting the Sacraments, reading and meditating on Sacred Scripture, living the Tradition of his Catholic Church, and studying his creation.

ANIMALS 

God created animals to be placed under humans in his great order of existence.
We read in the Bible about God's wonderful gift of animals, and how he gives his people dominion over all of his non-human living creatures.   

PLANT LIFE

God created plants to be placed next in his great order of existence.
We read in the Bible about how God gave humans dominion over all of his plants. This dominion from God provides a great privilege and a responsibility for us. Plants provide many benefits to us: food, oxygen and shade from the sun, to name a few.   One of the ways we can show our gratitude to God for providing plants for us is to be good stewards of the plant world, and by praying for people in other parts of the world who don't have access to plant life. By praying for them, we serve as funnels of God's mercy to them.

ROCKS, MINERALS, WATER & OTHER NON-LIVING PARTS OF THE NATURAL WORLD

Rocks, minerals, water and other non-living parts of nature in God's creation fall next on the list of God's order of existence. Water plays a very important part in the Sacraments, which we'll learn more about later. Gemstones, which can be rocks or minerals,  play  a special part   in God's   Bible; we'll learn more about these later too.

​The book of Genesis in the Bible tells us about the relationship between people, animals  and other parts of God's creation:

GENESIS 1:26-29 , RSVCE            

​Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.”  So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.” And God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good.
